Sour? Hmmm I did not find it especially sour Black pour and a small beige head. Ok intensity in the aroma. Fine sweetness this one and a mellow carbonation level Toffee, fruity, roast and some spices in the flavor. [Bottle at Komlefjorden 23]

Black with a shortlived light brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, coffee and dried fruit senses. Sweet, light bitter with a roasted malt, caramel and coffee end.

Bottle 500ml @ home. Pours black with a small tan head. Aroma has notes of hard roasted malt, ash, licorice and something burnt and light smoked. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a slightly dry, harsh burnt malt, burnt caramel and licorice finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. I didn't find the sour part, but that burnt malt and burnt caramel I'm not a huge fan of.

Svart med lyst brunt skum. Lukter kaffe, brent karamell og en anelse røkt. Sjokolade, kaffe og karamell. Fyldig og tørr avslutning.

Draught Small tan rim over deep black beer. Roast, burnt wood, liquorice, woodsmoke, roast meat, caramel & toffee. Charcoal on sweet meat, roast, ashes; toffee and ditto syrup. Coffee in the aftertaste. Rich body, slick to viscous. Too sweet for my liking.

10/XI/23 - on tap @ Billies Craft Beer Festival (Antwerp), Day 1 - part 1, BB: n/a (2023-918) Thanks to NathanVC for sharing today’s beers!
Clear blond beer, small creamy beige head, pretty stable, non adhesive. Aroma: good roast, pretty oxidized, spicy, dried fruits, soy sauce, more roast. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: malty start, very roasted, pretty bitter, spicy, weird, nutmeg, cloves, more oxidation, soy sauce. Aftertaste: very bitter roast, a bit off, dry, very spicy, weird, don’t like it very much.

It’s okay. A bit too weird a mix of flavours. Decent overall. __ Billies Craft Beer Festival 2023__
