This wheated imperial stout has been waiting patiently in bourbon and rye whiskeys all year for the holidays, a season for sharing and sharing is caring. Employing an impressive malt bill with an abundance of malted and unmalted wheat for a smooth full-bodied sweet wheat flavor resting on mellow bourbon barrels. Finishing on 12-year rye whiskey barrels adds a balancing complexity and a touch of spice. The result is truly one of a kind, perfect for savoring on a special occasion or sharing with friends.

Bottle. A- Whiskey, oak, fudge. A- Black color, black liquid, brown head. T- Whiskey, booze, oak, fudge. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, sharp finish. O- Loads of alcohol that are geared towards whiskey but honestly come across as pure alcohol at points. Very boozy. If we could lasso that in, this would be really great, but it's pretty hot as is.

A 12 oz bottle out of my last delivery from Half Time. I have a Belgian chalice receiving the pour this evening, that’s how it rolls this evening. A super dark body, qualifies as black, topped by a small head of dark tan foam also containing an unusual orangish effect. The nose contains sweet chocolate, cocoa, vanilla and grain. I lift the glass for a drink, wow, this is superb. Baking chocolate, toasted grain, maple syrup, alcohol, some spiciness, marmalade, malt and leather. A chewy sensation which I appreciate in an imperial stout. A top flight beer.

Thick and black with a small very dark brown head that faded quickly. Toasty and doughy with vanilla, wood, whiskey and cocoa. Very long finish. Full bodied and creamy.

Taster at New Colony. Near black pour, ring of beige head. Sweet malty, aroma, chocolate, fudge, hint of booze. Taste is very sweet, syrupy. A bit too sweet for me

On tap pours out black topped with a tan head. Nose is nice sweet chocolate roast malts big bourbon barrel. Taste is more of the nice rich malts heavy roast coffee big bourbon barrel.

Bottle from Anndiesel for Christmas 2023. Sweet, rich body. Barrel tones are mild, balanced, blended. A lot of depth, oak, vanilla, raisin, brown sugar, chocolate syrup. Good.

Aromas are dark malt, raisins, roast, maybe a little bit of oak. Flavors are similar to nose, more sweet than bitter and fairly balanced. Alcohol is hidden. A bit of coffee in the finish. Decent beer but not great.

Bottle - viscous black pour - slight tan lace - nicely complex nose and flavor - raisin, prune, fig, tamarind, smoke, anise, molasses, coffee, chocolate, brined cherries - sweet, but with mild balancing acidity and a moderate umami character on the tail end - lightly tart cherry finish with lingering coffee and chocolate - tasty!

Multiple bottles from Livonia Liquor. Pours a pitch black with a finger of brown head that dissipates. Molasses, oak and peppery rye on the nose. Dark chocolate, sweet bread, more molasses and oak on the palate. Heavily oaked almost to the point of butter being present. Viscous and well-rounded mouthfeel but the flavors don't come together as well as I hoped. Enjoyable but very rich.
