A rich, dark beer, the perfect complement to Archangel. Vic Secret and Simcoe hops give a piney fruitiness and a long lasting bitter finish.

Hand-pulled pint in the Pheasant Inn & Brewhouse, Wellington Shropshire on 25th November 2023. Deep, dark brown body, creamy beige head that hung around. Malty with a slightly over roasted aroma and taste. Light coffee and chocolate flavours come and go before a mildly dry finish.

Cask at Half Moon, Darlington. Gluten Free. Dark brown colour, bubbly thin beige foam head and aroma of roasty malt, ash, chocolate & coffee. Taste is ashy, roasty malt, dark chocolate, coffee and earthy bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying roast bitter finish. Nicely drinkable

Cask-conditioned at the Bag O’Nails, Bristol 9/1/08. Dark reddish-brown with a decent off-white head that left rings down the glass. Aroma of dark chocolate, fruit and some roasted notes. The flavour had plenty of tasty chocolate, with a smooth mouth feel and a long dry finish. Excellent.
