A perry of four corners. The flavour begins with Thorn contributing zippy upfront acidity and structure, followed up by the combination of Blakeney Red and Aylton Red creating a mid palate full of sticky pear jam, and completed by the iconic strucutre of Flakey Bark and its wonderful tannins. The result is a quaffable nad delightful off-dry sparkling perry that is delicious to drink and perfect for any occasion.

(Draft at Joran Cidrothèque, Brussels, 20 Sep 2025) Golden colour with big, but brief, white head. Fruity nose with pears, apples, citrus and grass. Fruity taste with notes of pears, apples, marzipan, jam and a generous acidity in the finish. Medium body, dry. Elegant, rich and quite tart. Very nice.

Bladder bag at Tom's Tap, Crewe, 26/01/24. Pale yellow with a thin white cap. Nose is pear esters, grass, herb, tannins. Taste comprises pear skins, light funk, tannins, hedgerow. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close. Decent perry.

750ml bottle from Ross on Wye. For #rgpm. Yellowy golden colour, short-lived fizzy white foam head and aroma of perry pear, fruity, floral, woody, funk. Taste is sweetish, perry pear, fleshy, fruity, citric, drying, tangy, acidic and tannic. Medium bodied, spritzy carbonation, mellow tart & tannic peary finish. Well balanced, very drinkable.
