Sweet Dabinett 2022

75cl bottle from Rutland Nursury. Drank listening to Now Playing on 6 Music. Pours a hazed golden orange. Nicely fruity scuzzy orchard harvest aroma. Interesting medium sweet Dabinett cider overall, soft textures, full bodied, yeasty pomace, drying finish with a pleasant natural fruity character. Pretty decent. Bizarrely, label says drink like wine, not beer. But why not like a cider? Odd. Nice cider though.

28/9/2023. Bottle shared by danlo, cheers Ed! Pours clear golden with a small bubbly white head. Aroma started very mucky, with sweet apple, flowers, light funk. Quite heavy sweetness with light tartness. Medium body, oily, spritzy. Good.

Panda at home, thanks to Ed Danlo, 17/09/23. Almost clear rich golden to light copper with a good sized just off white cap formed of thinly knitted bubbles that eventually gives up the ghost to spotting and a swirl. Nose is apple skins, light funk, hint of wood must, hedgerow, earthy. Taste comprises sweet edged apples, tannins, caramel, light sugar dusting, orchard wood. Medium bodied, light spritzy carbonation, semi drying close. Decent.

500ml bottle from Cider Incider. Slightly hazed golden colour, white foam head and aroma of apple, mellow fruity, mucky funk, sulphur. Taste is sweet, fruity, apple, juicy, with some soft bittersweet tannins. Medium bodied, light soft carbonation, medium-sweet mellow tannic finish. Nicely drinkable.
