can surprisingly stingy alocol boozy aroma, below that, chocolate, roasted malts, coconut, somthing sweet.. but the alc. is not at all concealed, stings a bit like nailpolish, but at least it doesn't smell like nailpolish. not good. flavor is interesting, reminds me of licorice malt candies that I actually liked a lot, tastes like the brown licorice powder on those candies. liccorice, malts, caramel, faint almonds, chocolate, faint cake frosting. complex and lots of interesting unusual stuff going on.

Keg at Hopaholic, Budapest, 10/06/23. Black topped with a tan head. Nose is dark malts, charr, chocolate, spice, molasses. Taste comprises toffee, roasted bite, fruit cake mix, spice, dark chocolate shavings. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced kiss of alcohol. Tidy enough impy stout but ultimately lacking depth for 11%.

Can 44 cl. Pours black with a creamy, light brown head. Vanilla aroma, perhaps a hint of pistachio. Rich, sweet roast, some chocolate and marzipan with the vanilla being in the front. Warming alcohol finish. Pastry Stout, but not overdone. 260923

Dåse fra Steengaard. Sort uden noget skum. Dufter af postachie og lidt lakrids. Mørk og sød, men stadig godt balanceret.

Can from Steengaard, Beder. Black with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, chocolate and vanilla. Flavor is very sweet and moderate bitter. Sweet and moderate bitter finish. Oily and soft. 220923

--Sample, thanks fonefan! -- Near black, small head. Aroma of caramel, chocolate sauce and coconut. Very sweet with full body and sticky mouthfeel. Caramel and syrup, lots of coconut, some vanilla. Same old pastry mess as ever.

Sample (thanks fonefan!). Black colour, small beigeish brown head. Aroma is liquorice, chocolate, nuts, vanilla and some mild alcohol tones. Flavour is alcohol, some tea leafs, chocolate, mild vanilla, nuts and some slight almost tart coffeeish tones with mild lactose.

Draft. A black beer with a lazing brown head. The aroma has notes of alcohol, roasted malt, dark chocolate, nuts, and vanilla. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, dark chocolate, nuts, and vanilla, leading to a dry finish.
