The first beer in our 5th Birthday series is a collaboration with none other than foodie & legend King of Feasts. We wanted to create the perfect 'kitchen beer', one that hits the spot when you're thirsty and session on throughout the day. We brewed none other than a simple 4% juicy and hazy Citra pale ale. Using Citra in all its forms to bring through maximum flavours including peach, passion fruit and melon. A small addition of Simcoe hops add some gentle bitterness and well-balanced citrus twists.

Hops: Citra, Citra Incognito, Citra Cryo, Simcoe

440ml can. Hazy golden, white head. Aroma of orange and grapefruit, peach. Taste of orange and grapefruit and peach, just a touch of pine. As they say it's a simple Citra session beer, but they've done it well.

Can from Cork & Cask. Milky golden body with a thin white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of dried grass and melon rind. Flavour of lemon, papery malt and rich tea biscuit. Medium body with a smooth texture. Light fizz. Light and hoppy but the flavour from the Citra was more pithy than tropical.

Can from Appellation Wines. Appearance - milky to murky yellow. White head. Nose - grapefruit, green stalks and pineapple. Taste - green plant stalks, dry herbs and Lilt. Palate - close to medium bodied, creamy middle, dry and stalky finish. Overall - a bit too much green hop is covering up this tropical IPA.
