Maybe age did this some favors based on the ratings but I loved it, tons of chocolate with hints of orange. Big barrel notes.

Pours black, small to no tanned head. Scent is pim coockies, orange and chocolate. Barrel is hidden. Taste is full, sweet, chocolate, sharp edge (towards nutty) from the orange. Quite pronounced on the barrel. Thick body, medium low carbo. Taste is better than expected, aroma really wasn't my thing.

Almost black beer with a white head. Aroma of intense bourbon, wood. Taste of sweet dark chocolate malt, caramel, raisins, plums

Poured from the tap. Black with small tan head. Bourbon, orange, mild chocolate. Not a great balance. Okay.

On tap at Peders, pours jet black with a small beige head. Aroma brings out messy, boozy orange, light cocoa and bourbon. Flavour is full of chocolate, orange and bourbon, with a hint of acidity. Nice blend of chocolate and orange. A little messy but very good.

ABV: 12.0%. Clear dark black colour with a small, fizzy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, coffee, orange, barrel. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a long duration, chocolate, coffee, roasted, orange - orange chocolate, barrel, dark malt. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is warming and light alcoholic. [20230502]

Tap at Peders, Copenhagen (TTO Madness Warmup pre MBCC event, 29/04/2023) - black with a small ringed tan head. Dark sweet malty and light roasted malty with lots of opulent chocolate, just getting a subtle orange citrus fruity undertone surfacing, silky mouthfeel and full bodied, dark lingering citrus kissed bourbon laced sweet malty finish. Lovely.
