Bourbon Barrel-Aged Imperial Vanilla Stout with Coconut
We pushed eight choice casks of Fundamental Observation through 350lbs of fresh coconut flakes and another 350lbs of hand-toasted coconut flakes to create the incredible second bottling of #FOCOCO. Tropical aromas rise from the glass and melt into a swirling flourish of velvety viscosity on the palate. Intense dark sweet malty with lots of rich chocolate, caramel, full luscious thick body, vanilla and coconut infused dark malty finish. Gorgeous.

Poured from the tap @ MBCC 2023 green session (finally adding my notes). Black with small tan head. Nice coconut and vanilla, rich chocolate, excellent.

Black with a brown head - Dark malt aroma with coconut - DArk malt body with wood barrel flavour along with coconuts - Dark malt flavours with bourbon and coconut goes into the finish - This was real good

30/11/2024. Bottle shared at Ulfborg tasting. Pours close to black with minimal bubbly beige head. Aroma is vanilla, chocolate, light roasted malt, toasted coconut, woody, bourbon. Quite sweet with moderate roasted bitterness. Full bodied, very oily, low carbonation. Cloying finish.

Bottle @ Fonefan tasting. Black with a small dark brown head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, chocolate, light coconut, vanilla and bourbon. Flavor is very sweet and moderate bitter. Sweet and moderate bitter finish with warming alcohol. 301124

Bottle @Ulfborg. oily black, no head. Heavy, rich dark malty aroma, coconut, vanilla and barrel. Vanilla and coconut in rich, sweet roasted malt. Nice bourbon buzz.

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. No head. Color is black. Aroma and taste are roast malt, coconut, vanilla, chocolate, coffee and has a nice smooth finish.
