A malty March forward with rich touches of toffee. A perfect balance of slightly sweet malt character, fresh hop bitterness, and snappy red fruit aromas. This red lager is so good you'll go for two.

12 ounce bottle from Woodman's Appleton, 1/24/24. Clear red, large tan head, good retention. Aroma of toffee, cherry, earth. Taste is toffee, raisin, cherry, citrus. Crisp, well balanced.

Bottle best before June 2024, drunk 4/11/24. Clear, lighter amber. Frothy, light beige head, low to moderate retention. Floral, spicy, moderately malty nose with light caramel and red fruit and a clean end with a bit of snappy yeast. I like the balance here and the fruity, fresh, moderately bitter hops help keep it on the lighter, more drinkable side. Light toffee, light red fruit. Surprisingly decent offering from Cincinnati.

I wrote a much longer version of this rating but somehow, RB erased it, so here is my shorter version. Not really a amber lager. This is an Irish red. Its fairly friendly. Not bad,

Bottle from Busch's. Pours a clear copper with a finger of beige head that lingers. Toffee, toasted caramel and notes of grass on the nose. Palate is similar, slightly sweet and toasted malt-like. Balanced finish with some light grassy and toffee notes on the finish.

Month old can A: Clear bright reddish amber with a tall but quick head. S: A little leafy, nutty and piney with caramel and herbs. T: A plummy note opens with a bit of bright orange citrus and dry toasty bread. Kind of sweet, boozy ending. M: Light carbonation, medium full body and wet finish. O: Pretty enjoyable. Nice look, smell and great range of flavors.
