Hoppy Blonde - Pineapple Edition

Bottle from Gulating. Hazy golden body with a small, fast disappearing white head. Aroma of pineapple where quite strong for a few seconds but very volatile and becomes more moderate like a dry hopped IPA/APA at a slightly pale malty background. Not bad really considering this being what it is a – a blond with pineapple juice. Flavor is quite malty, that is smooth pale malt with yeast and general fruitiness and a certain bitterness like the original blonde. The pineapple flavor is moderately enough to just do something extra and not make the whole thing undrinkable as a found the grapefruit edition, just too much juice and no beer. This one like it supposed to be, add something to the original beer without destroying it. Smells nice, not very exiting in flavor, but fresh enough with a pineapple addition to the original flavor. Medium to thin boded and average aftertaste, actually it feels a bit metallic harsh in the end without making a big deal out of it.

Fiskåbanen 100319. Golden color with a white head. Aroma is pineapple, fruit. Flavor is pineapple, fruit, pine, malt. Ordinary beer.

Bottle. An almost clear golden colored beer with a small white head. There's quite a lot of banana inn the nose, with flowers, pine cones and pineapple. Some pale malts. A weak touch of pale malts too. It's medium bodied, semi-dry and quite softly carbonated. There's not not bitterness than needed, with flavors of flowers, pine cones, resin, pineapple and hints of grass. A subdued flavor of pale malts too. Lasting fruity finish with artificial pineapple. A decent one, but a bit artificial. 190310

Nice fizzy-creamy mediumlasting head, slightly cloudy. Aroma is slightly dry sour-ish floral, unripe pineapple, flowers, hay, light malts, yeast, grass, moss, wheat, hints of dried fruits. Taste is slightly dry sour-ish mineraly, flowers, weeds, paper, unripe pineapple, fruit stones, grass, yeast, wheat, hints of dried fruits. Medium bitterness, slightly watery floral mouthfeel. Fair enough.

330ml bottle picked up at Gulating Ølutsalg, Tromsø. A pearl white head over a clear golden body, rich lacing. Moderate aroma of pineapple, mid-dry. Rather discreet pineapple flavours on a backbone of subdued malty sweetness. Smooth fruity finish, semi sweet. Satisfying. (Tromsø 18.11.2018).
