Bottle. Brown pour. Aroma of bowmore, chocolate, caramelised malt, licorice, malt, smoke and some oak. Taste of smoke, peat, licorice, bitter caramelised malt, oaky vanilla, chocolate and malt. Bowmore works us usual.

Bottle. A still, headless dark brown beer. Just a few beige bubbles on top. Lovely sweetish aroma with roasted malts, not too much peat smoke, dark dried fruits, bonfire notes, dark sugar and some bread. It's full-bodied, warming, soft and smooth, with lots of dark flavors. The peat smoke is more pronounced in the flavor than in the aroma, still not overwhealming, with a good touch of dark sugar and dried fruits, raisin mostly, dark rye bread, roasted malts and even a spiced touch reminiscent of that found in dark rum. Everlasting finish with a wonderful warming touch. Sure a pleasant one, not the easy drinking kind, but one to relax with. 190706

Very short-lived darker cream head over pitch black beer. Whisky/peat/turf a mile out. Black tarr, Lapsan Souchong, all very outspoken. Sweetish, surprising. Again, of course, peated whisky. Faintly nutty, walnuts, Islay malt flavours. Alcoholheat, dry despite some sweetness, low carbonation. Feels lean, but the whisky might explain that part. Somehow, IMHO, Baltic Porter doesn't rhyme with Islay Uisge Beatha, although I could understand the attraction to some.

deep dark brown colour, medium sized creamy beige head, which collapses within a few minutes leaving back some beige lacing; aroma of soy sauce, peated-smokey notes, some dark chocolate and unripe plum; taste has the same notes with definite peated-smokey dominance;good one
