The beer pours dark almost crimson red, about clear. It is fairly flat and does only develop a small head, that disappears rather quickly. Although the aroma is not particularly wrong, it needs a bit of warming up from the cellar temperature in order to open up and show complexity, and even then it is a bit anonymous. The body is a bit on the thin side, and with some alcohol bit and warming, and it threatens to overpower the other components in this beer. The aftertaste is medium long, and ends with some medium dark malt. On the positive side, there is yeast character there, and several nice components like dried fruit are noticeable. It is not a bad beer, but it appear to be a bit "shy". More robustness would have added a lot to the quality.
