leann cofaidh von orca brau, ein Kellerbier, versetzt mit äthiopischem Kaffee, der (sic) im Whiskyfass reifte. - Dunkleres Goldbraun, trüb. - In der Nase köstlicher Duft nach Kaffee, Karamel und Nougat, elegant torfige Whisky-Noten, abgerundet durch feine orangenfruchtige Hopfung. - Im Antrunk eine feine Torfnote über bitterem (ungesüßtem) Espresso. Die satte Röstmalz- oder Kaffeebittere geht unmerklich in trockene, knackig hopfenwürzige Hopfenbittere über. Kaum süß. Milder rezent, schlank. Im sehr langen Nachtrunk außerdem leise Orangenschalenbittere. - Originelles, sehr gut komponiertes Bier. (10.8.2024.)

Bottle picked up from Beyond Beer webshop and consumed at home Friday 3rd May 2024 listening to Bicep - Chroma 001 & Chroma 002 and now listening to their 2021 album Isles, we're about to cook a Prawn Gumbo. Pours hazy mid/dark mid brown with a sticky off white head. Lots of coffee, the whisky cask ageing is well integrated, it's subtle but softens the edges and adds a little complexity to the beer. I like this, I've never had a coffee lager but this exceeded my expectations..
