A rare breed of a beer, American Smooth is a Cream Ale. This little-brewed style of beer, favoured in the US, it is similar to a lager, but brewed with ale yeast, so a little more refined. Purposefully soft, and distinctively smooth, this unique pale ale combines subtlety of flavour with depth and drinkability. A little pepper on the finish, the hops are apparent but not overpoweringly bitter. Developed by our very own smooth American, this softly-spoken brew has makings of a classic.

Hops: Ella, Admiral, Calypso & Liberty.

Cask@Black Door, Helsinki. Pale amber colour, mediumsized white foamy head. Aroma is citrus, some nuts, mild caramel and some slight floral tones. Flavour is floral, mildly fruity and wooden with some citrus and biscuity tones.

Cask at Beer Hunters. Clear pale amber colour, medium-sized white head. Aroma has citrus and nuttyness. Light-bodied. Pale malty, fruityness, some citrus. Despite of name quite English feeling.

Cask gravity at Firkin Ale House Folkestone, clear amber colour lasting white head. Quite hoppy. Extremely drinkable. Love the subtle hop. Good.

Cask @ Blue Pig, Manchester. Pale gold appearance with a small frothy head. It does have a cream-like aroma with some aniseed. Has a thin texture with some very light malts.
