(Can, 0.473 l - canned on 20.12.2020, from Alko, 20210424) The beer black. Its head was small and lightly brown. Aroma had burnt malts, dark chocolate and sweetness. Palate was full bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, dark chocolate, vineousness, ash and bitterness. Aftertaste was burnt, sweet and bitter. A tasty burnt brew with sweet notes.

Tering wat een goede stout zeg. Super vol van smaak, heerlijk roosterig, koffie, chocolade, gebrande mout en een heel subtiel laagje ahornsiroop. Fantastisch spul.

16oz can from Tavour. Near black pour, small patchy head and ring. Maple prominent in the aroma, roast, chocolate, booze. Sweet chocolate flavors accompanied with heat, more maple, dark roast malts and a trace of coffee. Thick, syrupy. Sip and savor.

Can. A- Maple, coffee, mild cream, mild chocolate. A- Black color, black liquid, brown head. T- Roasty, mild bitterness, coffee, maple, mild cocoa. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, slightly roasty finish. O- A pretty big and bold beer. The maple was very natural and forward. This was the best maple beer I've had by far. So intense and natural. Not sweet. A bit roasty and bitter from the coffee. Outstanding. What I don't understand is that this pint can was about $10 but for the barrel aged version is goes up to $25. Didn't think that was worth it but now I just might. Good stuff.

Can from Holiday Market. Pours a thick, viscous pitch black with a half finger of brown foam that dissipates. Dark malt, soy sauce, maple syrup, diner shop coffee and light smoke on the nose. Palate has more of the same with lots of soy sauce umami, slight salt with lingering maple syrup and cacao on the palate. A lingering soy/saltiness...almost like salted caramel. Lingering smoked dark chocolate with sea salt on the finish. Very thick and viscous...some peanut butter notes as well.
