On tap at Bier-Bier, Helsinki. Dark brown, translucent with a reasonably small cream-tan head on top. Woodsmoke, strong coffee, tar liquorice and a hint of well-smoked trout. Intense sweet smokiness to the taste. Memories of campfires. Nice. The palate is a bit of a letdown: watery mouthfeel and short finish. A brilliant little beer nonetheless.

Syvän tummanruskea, miltei musta olut vaahtoaa melko runsaasti. Vaahto on vaaleanruskeaa ja hiipuu hitaasti kadoksiin jättäen kevyen pitsin matkallaan. Tuoksu maltainen ja paahteisen kahvinen, mutta ei kylläkään juuri savuinen. Maku kuivan kahvinen, paahteinen, maltainen ja salmiakkinen sekä hieman savuinen. Nimessä savuisuutta on kuitenkin nostettu turhan paljon esiin, sillä ei tämä olut savulla pelaa. Melko kuiva, keskitäyteläinen suutuntuma. Loppupuolella katkeroitakin nousee kahvisessa muodossa esiin. Aika nautittava kokonaisuus joka tapauksessa, savulla tai ilman.

Fonefan 270215. Dark red brown colour with a beige head. Aroma is smoked, caramel, chocolate, roasted malt, hop. Flavour is roasted malt, coffee, pine, smoked, caramel, chocolate, hop. Nice beer.

Bottled, thanks oh6gdx! Cloudy dark brown, small head. Smoky peaty nose. Mid dry with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Peaty with chocolate and caramel. Mid bitter finish.

Bottle 0.33l from local Alko, Vantaa. BBE 04/01/16. Colour is almost black wtih small white head. Aromas and flavours: Chocolate, coffee, smoke and roasted malts. Very nice "easy" smoke beer.

330ml bottle, thanks to Finn for sharing. Dissipating fawn-coloured head. Deep dark brown body. Smell of roasted chocolate malts, mid-sweet. Almost burnt malty taste with a touch of liquorice. Woody. Dark bitter finish. Likable porter (at Finn’s place in Tromsø 12.05.2015).

BBE 08/01/16 - Pours dark brown, almost black with a smooth foamy brown head. Aroma of smoky leather, some roastiness, dark chocolate, wood and earthy notes. Taste is smooth, roasty and mildly smoky with some burnt wood, ash, hints of hops and pine. Finish is pleasant with a nice mix of hops, roastiness and smoke. Pretty tasty, but slightly unbalanced.

Flaske 330ml fra Alko Arkadia. Delt med Rune på Nerstranda 12 Mai 15. Ultradyprød / svart. Veldig lavt skum. God aroma av sjokolade & røstet malt. Smaken for det meste lakris. Bra!
