330ml bottle. Dark brown pour, beige or light brown foam on top. Nose has light chocolate cocoa dust, sour. Well, should not be sour but it is. Taste is intensly sour, some cocoa and quite intense chocolate. Wild yeasts have done something here, beer is off but maybe taste has even contributed from this? Definitely not a dunkel, more like a dark sour. Not bad actually but definitely not as it was intended. Kind of difficult to attach some numbers to it.

Bottle (thanks jinroh). Pours dark amber with beige head. Aroma is fruits, apples, some acetine. Flavor is sour, fruits, apples, roast, some acetone. Overall: drinkable, but off. --- Beer merged from original tick of Hinotani Igaryu Ninja Beer (伊賀流忍者ビール) on 09 Sep 2018 at 21:11

Bottle. Caramel nose, a bit of roasted rice candy, chocolate, cream. Dark brown with crimson tints, pretty, with a tall, airy head. Light body, flavor of caramel and chocolate, decent bitterness in the finish. Decent dunkel I would say.

Bottle direct from the brewery & served in a lager glass. It pours a dark nutty looking brown with a thick foamy beige head which leaves spotty lacing. A malty aroma of plums, nuts and savory chocolate. Medium to light bodied with a quite sharp carbonation giving it a slightly rough mouthfeel. The tasty is roasty bitter chocolate, toasted malts, toffee sweetness and some general malty grain character. The finish is a bit dry with lots of bitter dark malts. Actually not too shabby.
