The semi-dark, bottom-fermented beer, in which the caramel notes from the malts used are complemented by medium hop bitterness, was made in cooperation with Hotel Ostrov.

bottle from Pivotéka Kralupy. Deep golden with a chestnut glow and a tall, creamy off-white head appearing with an avalanche effect. Buttery caramel notes in the nose. Medium-bodied, good malty base with just the right sweetness, some caramel and shy coffee in the very far distance. Forest honey also present. Lingering bitter-hoppy finish with an earthy touch. Smooth and velvety, and perfectly balanced. Delicious!

Bottle thanks to wombat23. Amber with a thin, creamy white head. Aroma is caramel, cracker, with berry hints. Taste is sweet to sour and overall quite malty with notes of toffee, caramel, and tea. A sour berry inflection rounds out the finish. Body is fairly light with moderate carbonation. Overall, I don’t know much about the style so it’s hard to compare, but it’s not a bad brew.

Bottle(purchased at Pivní rozmanitost, Prague): Red and amber coloured, small and quickly collapsing off-White head, nutty and dark-malty nose with a slight hoppy Background and fruity-yeasty traces; moderate sweet flavour with only a hardly detectable bitterness underneath, almost medium bodied and quite soft; sweetish-bready finish with lots of unfermented Sugars and a delicate hoppiness. No glory, way too sweet...
