Schildkröten Weizen

500ml bottle [as a gift from Craftbeer-Shop, thanks!]. Cloudy, brass colour with average to huge, creamy, slowly diminishing, slightly lacing, white head. Sweet-ish, minimally bready, wheaty malty and mildly yeasty fruity, minimally yeasty spicy aroma, hints of white crisp bread, some clove and banana, a fruity hoppy touch of mandarine. Taste is minimally bready, wheaty malty with very low residual sweetness, slightly yeasty fruity and yeasty spicy, rather diluted hints of banana and clove, some white bread crust, pear (the residual sweetness is concentrated here), minimally leafy, mildly bitter hoppy counterpart. Minimally creamy, watery texture, smooth and fairly soft, simultaneously minimally dry palate, medium, prickly carbonation. Very mild, rarely sweet nor fruity, a tad watery, not much yeasty action going on here - OK.

Almost clear golden color and a smooth white head. Wheaty and yeasty, fruity banana and a faint fruity flavors. Bottle. Cloudy pale orange/yellow with an ok white head. Aroma of citrus fruits, grass and yeast with some subdued banana and clove. Almost Belgian IPA territory. Taste of grapefruits, yeast, grass and wheat. Moderate bitterness. Strong carbonation. Light-bodied. It starts off very promising but taste and body fail to keep up with the aroma. I really like Turtles and they deserve better.

Flasche 0,5l: Helles Bernstein, kräftige Trübung, kräftiger stabiler mittelporiger Schaum; fruchtige + eher trockene Nase, leichte Zitrusnoten, dezente fruchtige Säure, grüne/helle Früchte, unreife Bananen, trockene Hopfenaromen, grasig/floral, Malz, Weizen, etwas Karamell, kräftige Hefearomen, Bananenschale, fruchtig-malzige Bitterkeit; fruchtiger + recht trockener Körper, leichte fruchtige Säure, grüne Früchte, unreife Bananen, florale/grasige Hopfenaromen, kräftig Malz, Getreide, Weizen, cremig, kräftige Kohlensäure, kräftige Hefearomen; fruchtig-trockener Nachgang

Ein Weißbier den Schildkröten dieser Erde gewidmet - nicht direkt naheliegend, aber ungewöhnlich und liebenswert. Bitter, fruchtig aromatische Zitronenschale, ein Hauch Sekt, Spuren von Zitronen- und Grapefruitsaft und die Hefe bestimmen den Geschmack. Auch wenn das Etikett der Flasche etwas ausgewaschen aussieht - geschmacklich eine glasklare Ansage. Schön weiche Konsistenz, allerdings am Gaumen spürt man eine etwas zu starke Säurebetonung. Dass die Zutaten aus biologischem Anbau stammen ist sehr lobenswert. Nicht jeder säuft gerne Reste von Glyphosat und Neonics. Davon abgesehen, dass ich doch hin und wieder im Sommer gern mal nen Schmetterling fliegen sehen würde (weil mit Schildkröten ist bei uns in der Gegend nicht so viel los).

Aroma is moderate malty, wheat, sweet malt, moderate yeasty, sweet yeast, weizen yeast. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, weizen yeast, sweet yeast, wheat. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20191102]

Bottle @Højbjerg Tasting. Cloudu pale yellow, creamy white head. Wheaty aroma, light yeast, light banana. Sweet flavour, candy, orange, banana candy and wheat malt.

Creamy white good mostly lasting head. Yellow colour. Light malty and moderate hoppy and moderate yeasty aroma. Light bitter flavor. Some orange notes. Average light bitter finish. Oily palate.

Bottle @ Højbjerg tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are yeast, wheat malt, hops, fruits and has a sweet malty yeasty finish.
