Can. A year out of date, although the 6 month shelf life seems rather pessimistic for a barleywine. Dark brown with a beige head that's very soon gone. 3- Old aleish aroma of dark sugars, stewed fruit, fruitcake spices. Not quite syrupy despite lowish carbonation. Treacle, some singed notes, some dried fruit, fruitcake spices. Not all that sweet with still quite firm bitterness. Good.
