This beer will get under your skin. The peppercorn sting, is like when tattooists needle first hits your body, followed by numbing, tingling hop burn.
Relax, it's over and the urge for more is coming. You are already planning your next one.

Almost black with a frothy, beige head. Nice chocolatey aroma. Taste is bittersweet, peppery at the end. Interesting but the pepper feels like an afterthought, tacked on to a beer lacking depth. Body to the light side of medium, texture somewhat watery. Okay.

330ml bottle from SIP. Pours dark brown, thick thin-bubbled foam on the top. Looks kind of like bog water, dark brown, almost black, but still somewhat transparent. Nose has some roast, burnt toast and hint of ashes, also herbal hop character. Taste is also toasted and roasty, not heavy but feels quite light, bit peppery, also somewhat hoppy and lightly bitter. Hop bitterness mixing with roast bitterness in the finish. I do like this one, well brewed.

Tap at pudel. Pours black. Aroma and flavor are roast, malt, coffee, some hops, some buttery like notes. Overall: ok, but lacks balls of proper black ipa.

On tap at Pudel, Tallinn. Black with a modest, beige head. Surprisingly mild roasty aroma with notes of licorice, spices, pine, citrus and hints of other fruits. Moderate to medium sweet with fairly low flavour intensity, but a balanced bitterness. Easy to drink and fairly enjoyable. Peppery finish and aftertaste.
