Dark roasted chocolate malts produce this dry, full-bodied ruby black beer with deep notes of treacle and coffee. So velvety smooth it glides across the tongue like a mythical monster beneath the surface of a loch!

(bottle, as Black Isle Organic Porter, 4.6% abv) Dark brown colour with a medium-sized and tanned foamy head. Slightly tarry roast-malty aroma with notes of dark chocolate, mocha and a subtle berry-fruity touch. Moderately roast-bitter and delicately sour flavour, light bodied with a moderate carbonation. Quite dry roasty malt character with notes of dark chocolate and coffee; dry and moderately roast-bitter finish with notes of coffee and a tinge of berries. Decent Porter. 11.VIII.13

Bottle at home. The colour is deep and dark reddish brown colour with a medium light beige head. Roasted aroma with nuts, coffee, wood, roasted almonds and leather. The flavour follows with a nice roasted touch, but is also sweet with some caramel. Has a slick and light mouth feel, and a light bitterness. A well-balanced and easy-drinking porter.
