Tap at Gremlin. Light, fresh, fruity citrus. Bit of grain and malt at the end. Good stuff. Lemon, like that tropical. (no idea what I meant here)

Pours slightly cloudy straw, some white foam at first but dissipates into a thin skirmish quite soon. Nose has some light saison yeast spice and some grassy, not really aggressive hop character, lemon peels. Taste reveals medium body, relatively light herbal-spicy farmhouse base, some velvety slightly bitter grassy hops on top of that, touch of citrus. Drinks very easy but does not feel very complex. Light grassy-bitter dry linger in the finish. Overall, not bad but probably would need to agree that regular version of this is better.

Tap at Yellow APe. Hazy orange-gold, lace. Grassy nose, Belgian yeast, a bit of cabbage or even something approaching DMS, which got stronger as it warmed. Grassy, vegetal flavors, lemon, orange. Started to turn me off. The Shinshu Wasei hops don’t really do it for me in a wet hop ale. The normal one is better.

Tap at CBM Koenji. Clear gold with a finger of foam that lingers. Very grassy and earthy hop aromas with some very faint orange. Slightly creamy with a ton of bitterness from the mid-palate on.
