After many years of friendship, we finally got to arrange a joint batch with the famous Strahov brewery. We decided to combine their rich experience in brewing semi-dark beers with the unusual addition of plum jam, poppy seeds and vanilla. Germknödel Bock was born. We hope you’ll enjoy it!

Can 0.5l. Almost clear, copper colored. AROMA- strongly poppy seeds, some plum. FLAVOR- lightly sweet, moderately bitter, toasted malts, bread crusts, floral and earthy, povidla (plum jam), lightly poppy seeds, no recognizable vanilla. Medium bodied. Really good idea.

Can at BBT 11/2023. Malty aroma and taste, strong poppy seeds domination, light vanilla notes, medium bitter, light sour notes. Medium body, malty poppy bitter sweet finish. Extreemly unmatching ingredients. Not good.

Tap at Beergeek Bar. Clear dark ruby body, creamy beige head, small, fairly lasting. Pungent aroma, caramel, creamy, vanilla, and even poppy I reckon. Poppy definitely in the caramel-vanilla taste though. Now this is nicely unique. They achieved what they went out to do, which is cool!

From tap @ Meetnica in Bratislava. Head is medium, tan, average retention. Colour is dark, opaque. Aroma is malty, dark dried fruits, bit vanilla, marmelade. Taste is medium to full malty base, light chocolate, dried plums, vanilla, bit poppy, marmelade, decent bitterness, soft carbonation, good one, enjoyed for sure.
