“Carrots!” flapped the Hare his paw down the table, “they have started to put carrots in the beer now!” He looked complacently at the pile of carrots towering in the corner but a shadow of a doubt still remained. What if the prices for carrots go up now.

This beer is an ode to carrots where piles of Estonian carrots have been accompanied by carefully selected cake spices.

Tap at One Pint Pub, Helsinki. Color is clear orange with small white head. Aromas and flavours: Spices, carrots, caramel and malts. Not for me.

33cl bottle from Sip, Tallinn. Pours clear deep amber with a rather modest head. Malty and spicy with notes of caramel and carrots. Well, can see a slight resemblance to carrot cake, but not quite cake and still a bit weird as beer. Medium sweet with spicy caramel vegetable flavour and a light bitterness. Fair enough.

(Bottle, 0.33 l - batch 1 - BB 20.10.18, at Koht, 20171026) The beer poured amber and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had spices, sweetness and malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were sweetness, spiciness, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was spicy and bitter. Too spicy and weird. Not a carrot cake but not a beer either.
