Taster at brewery. 7.0% version. Cloudy golden pour, ring of head. Aroma is light hops and a nice dose of malty hops. Taste is sweet, caramel, toffee, light hoppy pine, floral. I'll say it again, balanced. Smooth, sweet, latent bitterness. A real sensory treat.

Draught at Black Birch, 8/10/18.
Minimally hazy-to-clear, peach-blonde-brass. White head atop is small and wispy, fading steadily to a ring.
Pine, grapefruit, marmalade, lemon pepper and other of the C-hop usual suspects fill the nose, though it's not terribly aggressive nor full of twangy resin or alcohol. Some yellow fruit with biscuit, cracker and moderate honey-like malts balance, while leaving a strong emphasis on the hops, particularly orange and graepfruit. No alcohol or flaw.
In the mouth it's moderately bitter with strong lemon, pine and grapefruit. A West Coast IPA that attempts a good balance, which it mostly achieves, though it dries heavily on the end and the lemon and grapefruit is quite strong and bitter. Still, the texture is malty and it's well-attenuated and tightly carbonated. Clean and no alcohol.

Growler from the source. Slightly hazy light golden color with a huge frothy white head that slowly recedes. Earthy citrus and light pine on the nose with bits of bread and light caramel to counter. Really tasty but a hint on the sweet side for my tastes.

Draft @ the brewery. Aroma is light citrus, pale malt and a dash of pine. Body is medium and has more of sweetness for balance. Bitterness is here but in a subtle way. Texture is mostly dry with a citrus ending. Enjoyable although standard.
