2024. Amber-brown colour, and no head. The aroma has a bit of bourbon and some light fruitiness. This has a lot of bitterness, and crystal malt. Gets a bit chewy, but there's toffee sweetness behind that. Then, a light bourbon character. Solid, though unspectacular, just more of an easy-drinking English bw.

Poured from 473mL can (pkg 12/04/2024). Clear chestnut brown with minimal beige head. Toffee malt, underlying bittering hops, barrel character is extremely feint. Okay.

1 pint can. Pours a deep reddish brown with light head. Aromas of toasted oak, raisins, sweet dry caramel and toasted malts. Flavors follow same with additional but subtle booziness. Not getting any real bourbon flavors; it’s really just a solid English barley wine.Very good.

16oz can from Homebrewstuff. Mahogany pour, a few wispy patches of head and thin ring. Sweet malty aroma, prunes, raisins, tobacco. Taste is sweet, prune juice, malty, woody. Subliminal strength.

16oz can pours out amber color topped with a small sand head. Nose is great, nice sweet caramel toffee malts bourbon barrel kick. Taste is more of the nice sweet malt combo with the heat of the bourbon barrel, very well balanced.

Taster shared with Matt. Appearance: hazy dark copper with a beige head. Aroma: figs, raisins, very sweet, American oak and bourbon notes. Taste: along the same lines, some nicely integrated hoppy bitterness. Overall: very nice.

On tap at Chuck's Hop Shop - Greenwood, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma brings out deep bourbon barrels, dark dried fruits, some caramel, and a bit of earthy spiciness from the rye. Flavour is rich and complex, with deep bourbon barrels upfront, followed by toffee, caramel, some dark dried fruits, and maybe a hint of spiciness from the rye; but it's mostly the bourbon that shines. Impeccably balanced; it's sweet but not cloying. Wonderful.
