MONYO Brewing Co. introduces its first sour ale, Sour Rise. This light, fruity summer beer was made with the use of passion fruit puree, and was soured with Lactobacillus and Pediococcus. It was brewed with rye malt that complements the sour characteristics. A real explosion of tropical flavors with an orange color and passionfruit scent. It is refreshingly bitter, the perfect thirst-quenching beverage for hot summer days.

Bottle. Hazy yellow color, with a medium sized white head. Aroma is passion fruit, clear. Taste is fruity, passion fruit (real fruit, no fake flavors), also some cereal notes, sour end even if not very much. Medium carbonation. To be honest I bought it accidentally, I am not a fan of this kind of beers, but in the end I was happy to find a beer made with real fruit and that all in all is nicely balanced and quite enjoyable.

Zavaros sárgabaracklé szín, gyorsan eltünő hab. Az illatának biztos ilyennek kell lenni... lábszag. Viccet félretéve kis citrusosság, furcsa rizses búzás katyvasz. Extrém savanyú, ennek ellenére jó szomjoltó, bár én sosem voltam oda a sour sörökért. Ha nem lenne benne szénsav, nem ittam volna meg. Valóban, nyári gyümölcsös frissítőnek jó lehet limonádé helyett, de nem sörnek. A sör cimkéje leírta az érzéseimet :)

Turbid apricot juice color, rapidly disappearing foam. The smell must be like this ... foot odor. Joke aside little citrus, strange rice wheat greaves. Extremely sour, a good thirst quencher nonetheless, although I’ve never been there for sour beers. If it didn't have carbon dioxide in it, I wouldn't have drunk. Indeed, summer fruity refreshments may be good instead of lemonade, but they are not beer. The beer label described my feelings :)
