Our latest take on the now eponymous American IPA, Pacific Magic combines the straw coloration and crisp dry finish of a pilsner with the bitterness and aromatics of an aggressive West Coast Style IPA. In the spirit of reaching for an icy bottle or a fresh pint at the end of a day spent trekking our rugged coast, our aim is total satisfaction: refreshment without sacrificing complex flavor. Maybe it’s a trick of the light, but with a tilt of the glass Pacific Magic will make your thirst disappear.

Bottle at Farmers Bar, Avenue K, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a slightly hazy yellow golden colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head. The aroma is grainy, light toffee. The flavour is moderate bitter, light sweet, with a crisp, dry, earthy, light citrus, woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

(Draught at Man in the Moon, Stockholm, 1 Nov 2024) Golden amber colour with lasting, off-white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with orange peel, apricots and resin. Hoppy taste with notes of citrus, grapefruit, pine needles, resin, roast, white bread and a generous citric/piney bitterness. Medium body, quite dry. Solid and well made WCIPA. Very nice.

Pour is a chill haze blonde with a large white head. Aroma is dank, resin pine hops. Flavor is citrus fruit and bitter as hell. Old school IPA all the way right here.

Bottle. Clear gold color with a medium white herad that has decent retention. The aroma is big and bold with fresh citrus, oranges and grapefruit. The taste is grapefruit, oranges and some pine. The malt base is lightly bready. The palate is full and crisp. Finishes long and dry with some mango and papaya. Overall: Decent IPA won't hesitate to buy again.
