Baltic Porters use lager yeast, lending itself to a cleaner taste & Saulé is a perfect example of that. This a roasty, chocolatey treat with notes of hazelnut & cocoa nibs with a clean finish.

Dark brown pour from can - very roasted and malty, tobacco, some nuttiness. Decent. Boozy

Draft at the Herndon location - dark ruby, nearly black, with an impressive off-white head - much like their doppelbock, this one suffers from a little bit of undue harshness around the edges (some bitterness and slightly harsh roastiness), but is otherwise good, with rich cream, chocolate, and berry flavors - as always, it’s also always good to see a faithful, layered rendition from an American brewery, so kudos for that.

10 oz draft pour enjoyed at 595, Las Vegas. Finally found a beer from these guys, in a spot I didn't expect to find them. Awesome! Unique brew, very flavorful. Full of toasty dark malts, sole cocoa, licorice. Smooth taste, but imperial as well, amd its dangerous for the dark beer enthusiast. Creamy. Lingering notes of coffee and chocolate, with hints of caramel all throughout. A treat within a style I wouldnt always expect. Very impressed with this.

Half pour. Poured a dark, almost black cola-color pour with a small light tan head. Aroma was nice robust roasted notes, some light crispness? I always forget how much I love a good Baltic porter. Robust, but not too heavy, this has a solid roast, and a pretty clean finish.
