Ratebeer Odense in August. Black with a lasting off-white head. Roasted aroma with dark sugar, molasses, liquorice and ash. Sweet roasted flavour with way too much hot alcohol.

Collab of Toppling Goliath with the equally renowned Cycle, sampled from a shared bottle at Belgium Chimipalooza. Pale yellowish beige, opening, moussy head, hazy mahogany bronze robe. Strong, seductive bouquet of honey liqueur, sweet sherry, plum jam, candied fig, white pepper, bourbon, mango chutney, vanilla beans, treacle, cured meat, pipe tobacco, caramel, rum. Sweet onset, blackberry jam, fig compote and stewed plums with a honeyish edge as well as light sourish undertone, soft carb, thick and bit vinous mouthfeel, quite ‘fluffy’. Hazelnutty and chocolatey malt middle, thick and rich, leading towards a long, rich, boozy but not unpleasantly astringent, heavily bourbon-coloured finish with rum- and vanilla-like aromatic notes lifting the whole thing up; light smoky accent in the finish. Beautiful beer, too bad these high profile Toppling Goliath offerings are so hard to find due to limited production and high demand.
Mellow barrel, roast & smoke nose. Sweet, bitter & malty taste. Soft, round & creamy mouth. Very good! Nicely balanced!

Bottle shared at a tasting. Very dark brown pour with a tan head. Notes of caramel, maple syrup, bourbon, light smoke, salted caramel, whiskey, very subtle and well-integrated peated notes, light alcohol burn.

Well, I am a total TG fanboy, so when this was released I knew I had to track it down. Thanks to etw1987 for the trade! Shared at a tasting. Pour opaque black, medium creamy tan head, dissipates fairly slowly, good lacing. Aroma is cocoa, bourbon, roasty with vanilla notes. Flavor is medium sweet, medium plus bitter, very light smoke, almost not even noticeable, cocoa. Full body and creamy mouthfeel. Identifiable as a TG stout, and that is not a bad thing at all.
