Aroma has notes of chocolate, wood. Taste is bittersweet with flavors of roasted chocolaty malts and light barrel influence.

Can from Corti Bros. Pours dark brown black with a large dark tan head. Aroma of burnt malt with a hint of bourbon. Med body or so. Flavor is the aroma with some ash and wood. Slightly, slightly sour. Not dry but not sweet. Bitter with some wood astringency. Nice.

On tap at Brouwer's Cafe for Barrel Bash (Big Wood) 2023, pours black with a medium tan head. Aroma brings out medium roast, subtle wood, and some earthiness. Flavour is woody and roasty, with lots of wood and deep roasted malt. Finishes dry, roasty and woody. Very good for a BA lower ABV stout.
