12oz bottle from my brother. Hazy amber pour, patchy head. Sweet malty aroma, caramel, maple, boozy notes. Taste is malty, sweet, maple, warm. Smooth, creamy.

Bottle with 11.2.22 stamped on it as bottle date. Pour is a clear coppery amber with a decent head that dies down to a thick film by the time I sit down and start to work on this review. First approach makes me go “bourbon” loud enough that I get a sidewise glance from my companions. A second try shows it has a bit more: coconut (white oak? It is a common feel I get off barrels), a bit of maple syrup if you really look for it, honey, and a touch of peppery and floral hops. Flavor and mouthfeel are sticky and sweet. A sugar bomb, which I normally don’t like, but for some reason wheat wines make me smile and want more. The ABV and bourbon add some nice edginess to keep it from being a cloying mess. Very lovely.

Bourbon and oak nose. Clear orange, thin head. Bourbon, peach, oak, and lemongrass toward the end. Subtle almond notes. Not necessarily that intense, but bourbon is most dominant. Full body, easy carbonation. Too much bourbon.
