Appearance is very dark with a little foam. It smells nutty and like a slightly over-roasted bean. Its got a dry and light mouthfeel. Tastes like a mix of cold brew and a coffee stout.
If your experience of stouts is limited to Guiness, expect this one to be different.

At the airport taproom, black beer, small beige head. Aroma is roasted coffee, malt, taste is the same, roasted, malt, coffee, bit watery, for 4.3% quite good stout

12oz bottle pours a cola brown with some white head. Nose is like a dunkel, malt, some clove. Flavor is more stout, malt, coffee, some pepper, cream soda. Flabby finish.

Bottle at the June DC Rate Beer tasting. Poured a pitch black color with a small off-white head. Aroma was light roast, with some mild chocolate. Flavor was very mild, almost thin. It was fine, light and easy to drink.

Roast and lots of coffee. Pretty thin on body. Black pour with ok head. Light bitter taste. A little watery, more like a schwarbier or dunkel. Bottle.
