0,33l bottle at home from trade with rich182, big thanks. BB date missing on this one (or I just couldnt find it). almost black color, very small coffee-colored head. smells of licorice, some unpleasant notes that remind me of fertilizer, spices, breadish, bitter herbs, a bit oxidized. below average smell (for an imp stout that is). full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes of licorice, strong spices, oxidation notes, peppery, earthy, sherry, some alcohol. finishes a bit roast bitter with oxidation notes and some licorice. not a fan of this one, rather harsh bitternes / some oxidation notes. rather unpleasant.

Bottle split in the Bespin cloud network, thanks to LKS, 20/10/15. Extremely dark mahogany brown with a decent tan covering. Nose is treacle toffee, dark fruit shreds, earthy, light spice, malty. Taste comprises sweet malt, toffee fudge, dates, raisens, trace of liquorice. Medium + bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Passable if a touch basic for the style.

Bottle shared in London - picked up at Kris Wines. Pours clear dark brown with a bubbly tan head. The nose has lightly roasted malts, cocoa, dried berries. Medium sweet flavor with charred malts, dry cocoa, scorched earth. Medium to full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Lightly warming finish with bittersweet cocoa, more burnt earth, wood. A little simple, but not bad.
