Bottle thanks to Leighton. It pours deep brown with a small beige head. The nose is soft, sweet, milk chocolate, creamy, dark fruits and fruit cake. The taste is soft, sweet, sticky, sweet roast, earthy, cracked peppercorn, burnt cardboard, alcohol hit and fruit cake with a dry, toasty finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Ok at best.

330ml bottle from Hop Hideout Sheffield - Murky black brown body, shortlived tan head. Nose is liquorice, coffee, bit of tar and some chocolate - the dark sort. Taste has a little sweetness at the start, but the boozy warmth kicks that out of the way. Chocolate, more liquorice, black coffee and dried fruits follow on. Bit thin for an Imp Stout but nonetheless a good effort.

Opaque dark brown beer, decent cream colour head. Smooth palate, semi dry. Mild fine carbonation. Rich dark malts, mildly tangy. Smooth dark malts cream. A little fruit liqueur in the mid. Finishes with mild roast bitterness and coffee. Smooth but not top drawer.

Mayweather v Pacquiao bottle share night with Sarkynorthener & s_hartshorne; dark brown pour with a thin beige head, sweet chocolate and fruit aroma, taste has coffee, dark fruits, roast and chocolate.

Bottle. Bier Huis, Ossett. Clear, cola brown. Halo of tan head. Very savoury. Very stony. Green coffee bean. Dark, dried fruit. Taste is savoury, lightly smoky sweet. Turns burnt caramel bitter. Mouthfeel is full, smooth, and rich. Finishes smoky sweet, and long, light bitter. Nice beer. The aroma is a tad odd, but maybe it’s a bit young. Whatever, this is very easy drinking for the ABV.
