440 ml can. Pours mahogany with fiizzy head that settles quickly. Aromas of dry trail mix fruit, candied orange, a bit of vanilla and toasted malts. Flavors follow same with additional caramel and vanilla more notable. OK

Small, vanishing cream-y rim over copper beer. Oxydation, sweet candi, some vanilla, boozy. Sweet, oxydation, vanilla, preserved sugared fruit (as dried apricot, peach, mango...), sucade. Bit viscous, chewy. Alcoholheat, low carbonation. Being well within the BBdate, it must have been ingredients that were oxydized, giving a prematurely aged impression. Txs to Stef!

Can. Hazy amber, small pale tan head. Palate is light and semi dry, decent fine carbonation. The malts have a thin mouthfeel but are creamy sweet and with a decent amount of caramel. Some burned sugar. The vanilla also feels a little thin. Some ripe fruits on the back end. Light dry finish. It's okay but it doesn't come over like the luxurious indulgent barleywine that you might think it should be.

Blik thuis geprobeerd met LiekevdV. Het is een donker amberkleurig bier met een volle beige schuim. Het heeft een zoete wat vanille achtige geur. De smaak is vol, moutig, zoetig en fruitig met een zachte kruidige afdronk.
