(Draft at Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 22 Feb 2025) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with coffee, chocolate and black rye bread. Malty, roasted taste with notes of dark chocolate, coffee, black rye bread, liquorice and a generous roasty bitterness in a warming, slightly vinous, finish. Full body, with a certain sweetness. Rich and tasty, hides the 11% quite well. Very nice.

Tap at Arendsnest, 15th January 25. Pours thick and black. Aroma is roasted malts, coffee. Taste is robust and full, chocolate and coffee. Lovely

Can from AH XL supermarket. Color: Black, light brown head. Aroma: Roasted malt, coffee. Taste: Dense, creamy mouthfeel. Roasted malt, coffee, some chocolate. Hoppy backbone. Medium sweet, moderate to over moderate bitterness. Full body, just below average carbonation. Nice supermarket beer.

A black beer with a beige head. Aroma of roasted dark malt, chocolate, coffee beans. Taste of dark roasted malt, coffee beans, chocolate, long bitter finish.
