This beer contains the essence of grodziskie “Ogar Polski”. Ice distilling multiplied the character of this 100% oak smoked wheat many times. The result is not slightly stronger or slightly larger “Ogar Polski”, oh no. Our happy go lucky Polish Hound has turned into giant and mysterious polar wolf who is not afraid of anything.

Thanks jinroh for sharing the beer! Poured into a taster showing deep gold with half a finger of tanned white foam and light sediments The nose shows acetic notes of vinegar and pickles. The palate shows well carbonated and medium bodied. Smoke permeates the whole beer but an acetic vinegar plays the main part on the palate. Strange.

Seavans tasting. Lightly darker orange, some white foam. Nose is super smokey, iburikakko, soft and filled with umami. Taste has soft smoke, more of that umami, fulfilling and smokey. Drinks quite balanced though, tasty and interesting.

33cl bottle from Rimi, Tallinn. Pours clear deep golden with a modest, white head. Surprisingly smoky at first, but also somewhat fruity, malty and slightly caramelly with hints of alcohol. Sweet, peculiar and certainly interesting. Rather tasty and quite enjoyable.

Tap at TCBW. Pours golden. Aroma is smoke, malt, some butter. Flavor is sweet and bitter, smoke, booze. Finish is boozy and bitter. Overall: drinkable, but way too boozy.
