33cl bottle at Chris & Ruth´s House. 8% Abv. A clear golden beer with a small most good lasting off-white head. Aroma of riped fruits, mild sweetness. Taste of sweet malt, riped fruits, some vanilla, cookies, minimal boozy.

(bottle, 33cl, Swannay Old Norway, 8.0% abv) Hazy, deep golden to amber colour with a short off-white foamy head. Slightly syrupy malty aroma with notes of dried fruits, English marmalade and hints of alcohol. Moderately sweet and delicately bitter flavour, almost full bodied with a soft carbonation. Juicy malt-character with notes of citrus, oranges, marmalade, dried apricots and shades of caramel; sweet-bitter, citric and dried fruity finish with zesty notes and a warming alcoholic touch. 17.IV.17

Near white frothy head soon left a cover on a translucent rich copper coloured still body. Sweet apple & summer fruits aroma. Thick, cloying, minimal carbonation & No Prickles!! Rich pureed fruit tastes of apple, grape, jam, marmalade - quite sweet but at the same a dry back.

Bottle: Deep golden, clear, small loose off-white head; solid sweetish nose of dried fruits and sweet pale malt with a pretty distinctive bitter-hoppy background; moderate to solid bitter-sweet flavour, almost full bodied; solid lingering bitter-sweet finish with dried fruits, nuts and caramalt, followed by a slight alcohol-burn in the aftertaste. Well balanced,easy-drinking thirst-quencher. ..

330ml bottle, from trade with AshtonMcCobb. Many thanks! Pours hazy amber, thin ring of white head. Aroma is rich caramel and uncertain alcohol spirit. Taste is slick rich caramel, nice dried fruits with a boozy warmth on the finish. Not usually one for Barley Wines but this is rather nice.

Flaske 330ml. Gave fra Rune. Drukket på Bergstua 4 Mai 16. Gyldenbrun. Lett uklar. Høyt luftig skum med svak farge. Litt filigranser. Interessant aroma. Sammensatt - men mest som sherry. Smaken er frukt & mandler. Balansert. Fortsatt litt sherrypreg. Lett syrlig ettersmak hvor alkoholen skinner gjennom.

330ml bottle, 8 % abv, shared with Roger at St Ola Bar. A hazy orange coloured body. Tiny white head. Minimal lacing. Dried fruity nose, hints of alcohol. Flavours of dried and ripe fruits. sweet jam-like. Prolonged ending with noticeable alcohol. Medium bodied. A tad too sweet for a higher score (Kirkwall 16.04.2016).
