Bottle, bb 06.2018 (thanks fatphil). Pours dark brown. Aroma is roast, hops, malt. Flavor is sweet and bitter, roast, malt, citrus, some milkiness. Finish is roast bitter. Body is on the thin side. Overall: okish.

Bottle. Nice head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are roast malt, bitter hops, coffee, chocolate and has a nice long bitter finish.

330ml bottle. Clear, darkest brwon colour with ruby glimmer and small to average, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, off-white to beige head. Roasty, dark malty aroma with hints of coffee and dark chocolate, grassy hoppy overtones, a touch of burnt barley. Taste is dry, roasty dark malty and grassy hoppy, subtle dark malty sweetness, hints of dark chocolate; smooth and soft palate.

Bottle from crafty Bottle, Lincoln. Dark brown colour with a thick off white head. Coffee and dark malty aroma and taste, smooth body.

Bottle at Craig’s. Pours deep brown, nose is citrus, pine, roasted, taste is similar, juicy and dry.

Cask @ West Riding Rooms, Dewsbury. Clear and dark, but not black with a creamy off-white head. Has a small sweetness but mainly a roasted malt aroma and taste.

Cask - Dark roast and pine. Deep maroon with a rich beige head. Light roast and dark fruit with some pine and grapefruit hops. One of the best cask black IPA’s I have had.

Bottle, 6.2%. Very dark brown with medium beige head. Aroma is roasted amlts, hops, citrus, pine and chocolate. Flavour is roasted malts, chocolate, caramel, hop, little sweet, hops, bitter, little grapefruit, little pine, little liquorice and notes of coffee.

Bottle 500ml. @ home.Clear dark dark brown color with a average to large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, light burnt, light coffee, moderate hoppy, spruce, light pine, light licorice. Flavour is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, salty licorice, roasted, licorice. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20131228]
