A variety that probably originated around the turn of the twentieth century, it is now a rare tree to find in mature, traditional style orchards. All the apples in this cider came from only one massive tree in our Oak Meadow Orchard. Court Royal produces a lightly sharp cider with good body, with an easy flavour to enjoy. The 2022 vintage gave us standout sugars and depth of flavour.

500ml bottle from Ross on Wye online. Pressed Oct 2022, Bottled Nov 2023. Batch F24. Pale golden colour, short-lived bubbly white foam head and aroma of apple, funk. Taste is fleshy, apple, floral, fruity, with some funk, citric acidity and light tannins. Medium bodied, light carbonation, dry finish. Nicely drinkable.
