330mL bottle. Pours murky amber-briwn with no head. Brown sugar and glue on the nose. Flavour has a nice brown sugar character, some bourbon barrel, though the waxiness is too overpowering to ignore. Quite disappointing.

330mL bottle, pours a muddy dark brown with a small beige head. Nose has notes of butterscotch, toffee, bready malt, and a touch of bourbon. Flavour is hot, with dry bready caramel, alcoholic bourbon, butterscotch, and a dry, glue-like finish. Nothing exactly wrong with this, but there’s nothing right either. Lots of glue, not much good malt character, nor any good barrel character. Needs work.

Tap at BXL. Tyhí hát ez bizony sajnos minden sebből vérzett, pedig isten lássa lelkem szívemből vallom, hogy barley wine is life. Vékony, vizes, jellegtelen, minimális hordós jegyekkel. Szomi.

Draught@TCBW2023. Brownish amber colour with a mediumsized beige head. Aroma is roasted, some smoked and mild toffeeish and grainy tones with some wood and mild vanilla. Flavour is toffee, some smoked tones, roast, mild wood and some slight alcohol sweetness. Mild tartish tones lurking in the flavour too.

Fat på Brewskival 2023. Rostbrun med off-vit/ljusbeige krona. I botten relativt klassisk brittisk barleywine storlek större. Kolaremmar, bränt socker, brända russin, fat, katrinplommon. Blir inte överdrivet sött utan mer rostat socker. Gott och snyggt.

Sample at TCBW 2023 Brown colour, tiny beige head. Roasted, touch of smoke, bourbon, toffee in the nose. Medium-bodied. Toffee, malts, sweetness in the flavour. Balanced.

A small taste on tap @ TCBW 2023. Pours very dark brown with a low head. Aroma is sweet toasted malts with bourbon. Flavor is sweet toasted malts, bourbon, oak, hops. Very good.

Magus, hapukas, pärmine puidune, linnaseline, vaniljene. Ok.
