An American take on the Emerald Isle classic. Fuggle-hopped for an earthy start to a richly roasted finish.

GLB draught, 9/19/24. Clear, ruddy-amber. Small, beige head, low retention. Toast, cola, gentle roast, mild fruit. Low base malt, but no tannin. Clean. Some weird alcohol or heavy ester that is bitter and doesn't belong. Not the thinnest I've had but still pretty thin and uninspired. Vaguely toasty. Poor base malt.

4 ounce tap pour at 19th Annual Lakes Region Brewfest. Bridgton, Maine. Look of iced tea. Aroma is caramel with tiny hop presence. Taste is a strong caramel and toffee. Smooth, frothy texture, soft carbonation, finish as taste. Decent red ale.

Taster at brewpub. Mahogany pour, thin ring of head. Light malty aroma. Taste is malty, sweet and dry. Kind of weak.

Aroma is very light yeast, hints of stale malts. This has a thinner / lighter body with mild stale malts and a note of earth. Not much else here. The style itself is very lame in general. I am curious to try more from this brewery.
