Bottle from Pigs Ear Beer Festival, drank at home. Black pour with a fluffy beige head. Chocolate, vanilla, sweet spice and licorice toffee nose which eases gently into the flavour with lots more chocolate easing it’s way through. Velvety mouthfeel. Lovely stuff!

Tap @Bir&Fud, Roma
Murky brown color, big cloudy beige head. Toasted malty aroma. Roasted, coffeish but also vegetables and harsh flavors. Also body is a bit thin for 7 % "robust porter". Maybe not in top condition.

Tasting at Bruce’s pad. Thanks to Mr Smith for this one. Opaque dark brown beer, little pale tan head. Light semi dry palate. Light touch of dark malt. Sweet aromatic ginger that carries no real heat. Light dry finish. Pleasant!

Bottle shared at Bruce’s, thanks to Leighton, 31/07/13. Murky dark mahogony brown with light floaties, not a looker for sure, tinkered with a 2 but settled on a 3! Nose is burnt toffee, drk fruit tang, light roast. Taste comprises dark fruit, soapy notes, light roast, not much depth for a 7% porter. Medium bodied but a little thin ad watery for a beer of its ABV. So so.

Bottle at Bruce’s, thanks to Leighton. It pours darkest brown with a small beige head. The nose is roasty, blackcurrant, plum, jammy, ginger and earth. The taste is roasted malt, toast, earth, light bitterness, cocoa, spice and dark fruit with a roasty finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Easy going and well put together.
