Tap at Mesuge. Full body, medium carbonation. Does not really evocate speculoos in my opinion. Lots of chocolate, too much lactose - not sure why you need it if going for a biscuity vibe. The special ingredients are present, but subtle. Overall mostly milked chocolatey toffeeish vibe. Good, but not great. Kinda gimmicky.

Can, 0.44l. Black pour, three finger creamy beige head, long lasting. Very good retention, lots of lacing on the glass. Nice on the nose, sweet and malty, light chocolate, notes of ginger, subtle citruses in the background. Medium body, soft carbonation. Average mouthfeel and texture, soft, light creamy, slightly lightweight. Mild stickiness. Balanced bittersweet taste. Malty aroma, toasted caramel, brown sugar, syrup. Mild chocolate notes, light roasty. Subtle ginger notes lingering in the background, light spice and bready notes. Some off placed bitterness in the aftertaste. Medium lasting finish, dry, bittersweet, subtle ginger. Not bad but somewhat underwhelming.

Can from Goblet ZG, shared with the wedding crowd. Blackish dark brown body, off-white head. Bit spicy, cinnamon in the aroma. Lean, light body, lightly roasty, some cinnamon, very much empty. Disappointing to be honest. --- Beer merged from original tick of (collab with) Espiga Imperial Speculoos Stout on 08 Mar 2024 at 23:34 - Score: Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 7.
