Bottled, huge thanks Riba for sharing! Murky hazy yellow body, white head... Sadly, the aroma said everything immediately. Medicinal, with others saying things like plastic (correct), garage workshop (correct) and so on... poly- and/or chlorophenols, with light herbal touches... The taste of course fully confirms it - chloro/polyphenolic medicinal notes dominating it, some soft, fruity touches behind it, and a bitterish finish. I'm certain that this is usually a far better beer, I'm actually restraining my rating somewhat, however, the technical flaw with it was enormous. Sadly - it's the type that can go unnoticed, and grows with time, completely taking the beer over - and since this wasn't the freshest example, it had fully taken it over. They claim to modify the water they use - so I do wonder where it came from - did they let it rest? Did the municipal water service drop one of the chlorine-based compounds that cannot be gotten rid of by letting it evaporate? Mistake cleaning their equipment? Could be several reasons. The gist of it is that the issue's there, and if it's frequent, they should start, well, using distilled water at least if they don't as this is unacceptable. I'll do my best to try to try it fresh and rerate it! Till then... it is how it is.
