We made this beer with 60% Cadiz malt from Boormalt, a new product created from the grain tritordeum, a cross between durum wheat and wild barley. The yeast that did the work was YF-402, a weizen yeast. We got ourselves something very much like a German wheat beer with a pretzel bready taste to it from this special malt.
Now that's a beer with a twist!

Tap at the brewpub. Hazy deep brownish-orange body, murky almost, off-white head, fairly lasting. Bit perfumey, lightly estery, wheaty, mildly cheesy aroma. Soft, creamy taste, mild cherry, nutty notes, vanilla, really specific, mildly herbal, tasty, almost unique!
