Cette Stout Tonka à 7,5% vient s’unir à la gamme fixe VNDL. Cette bière de fermentation basse sublimée par la fève de Tonka, vient révéler ses notes de café, vanille & cacao. Le beau se transforme en un corps léger, soyeux et crémeux qui laisse place à son art extrêmement pintable.

As VNDL Beaux-Arts Stout - Tonka, 6.5% ABV. Dark brown to black, small tan head. Aroma is roasty, cocoa and cardboard. Flavour is roasty, lightly burnt, some toffee, some dark chocolate and cardboard. Medium body, creamy, slightly sticky texture. Sweet, also slightly bitter and astringent. Some tonka and cocoa lingers giving some sweetness and creaminess and an unusual floral touch to a dry finish.

Black and turbid with minimal lacing. Strong tonka bean aroma. Reminds me of Lebkuchen. Taste is moderate sweet the whole way through. Lingering tonka bean with molasses undertones. Medium bodied, mild carbonation, faintly watery texture at the finish. Ok.

Bottle, 330 ml at Ambasada. Black with tan head. Artificial milk chocolate, tonka, sweetish and bland, terrifying. Not my thing.

0.33l bottle at Ambasada, shared with AJ, probably others too. Blackish body, off-white head. Pungent tonka and light maltiness in the aroma. Quite unusual taste on the other hand, with tonka there creating, combined with the rest, a huge chamomile tea-like (!!!) feeling. Unusual, but nice and creamy!

Bottled 330ml. -at Ambasada Zagreb. Black coloured, medium sized beige/brownish coloured, tonka in the nose. Roasted malt, light chocolate, dominant tonka and touch of alcohol with again mild roasty and tonka presence in the finish. Bit one-dimensional but pleasant.
